How pip value is calculated
For pairs quoted against USD (EUR/USD, GBP/USD), pip value in USD is simply pip size × lot size. So a standard lot of EUR/USD = 0.0001 × 100,000 = $10 per pip.
For USD-base pairs (USD/JPY, USD/CAD), divide by the current rate first because the quote currency isn't USD. For JPY pairs, remember the pip size is 0.01, not 0.0001.
