1. Who we are
PRO JOURNAL TRADER ("we") operates this Service and acts as data controller for personal data collected through it.
2. What we collect and why
- Account data (email, display name, hashed password) — to create and authenticate your account. Legal basis: contract performance.
- Trade journal data (pairs, prices, screenshots, notes, tags) — to provide the journaling features you signed up for. Legal basis: contract performance.
- Usage telemetry (basic logs, IP address, device data) — for security, abuse prevention, and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support correspondence — to respond to your messages. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Billing identifiers (Stripe customer/subscription IDs) — to know which plan you're on. Legal basis: contract performance. We do not receive or store your card details.
3. Who we share data with
- Stripe — payment processor for all orders. Stripe processes payments, manages subscriptions and invoicing, and handles tax compliance on our behalf.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run the Service (database, file storage, AI inference for chart extraction).
- Authorities where required by law.
4. Retention
We keep account and trade data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion we delete or anonymize personal data within 90 days, unless we must retain it for legal or accounting reasons.
5. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR in the UK/EEA), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We will respond within one month.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country (including by Stripe and our hosting providers). Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to safeguard transfers.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging.

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and core functionality.
